Davy Crockett, king of the aspiring copywriters
Highlights from his final letter: "he praised Texas as 'the garden spot of the world' and said it was 'the best land and the best prospect for health' that he had seen."
That was exactly what I thought too -- elegant handwriting. Also, it's sad that he tells his daughter "do not be uneasy about me for I am with my friends" since we know that just months later he'd be killed at the Alamo.
And Billy Bob Thornton: best on-screen Crockett ever? Yessss!
And the neat script too, especially after a long day of skinning beaver pelt.
