It's meant to be an insult. I'm not sure but on the fashion condemnation scale, it might rank right down there with "very wearable" and -- the ultimate -- "looks like old navy/gap."

I once listened to the same Stone Temple Pilots cut over and over for eight hours straight.
I did not feel like designing any fashion after however.

Somehow, listening to anything for 8 straight hours seems like something people do right before deciding on a shooting spree.
