I'm not sure that the Texas state fair could come close to the greatness that is the Great Minnesota Get Together. I mean, do you guys have butter statues of dairy princessesdd?

Certainly no state fair can produce such a bevy of fine butter busts as that. And we have nothing -- nothing! -- that compares to Ye Old Mill.

But the Texas State Fair does have an annual butter sculpture. It's usually one tableau based on that year's theme or big attraction. Here's a video of last year's Marilyn Monroe scultpture. It pains me to admit this: the execution is never great. You'll see what I mean when you get a look at Marilyn's face.

Also, I'd like Texas to give the livestock exhibition more prominence. Other than that, our state fair is all kinds of kooky fun.
