Joe Simpson, father of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, upped his personal ick factor today by being quoted in the NYPost as saying, "Jessica ... just is sexy. If you put her in a T-shirt or you put her in a bustier, she's sexy in both. She's got double D's! You can't cover those suckers up!"
Now that's just creepy. Some people are doubly offended since Mr. Simpson is a former Baptist minister. But it's not the "minister" part that's the problem. It's the "former." There's a long, instructive track record of parents who quit their jobs to manage the careers of their precocious offspring.
