Praise for IKEA.
At least, I think it's praise. After the controversy that erupted when Bravo TV toured Laura Bennett's house, I'm not sure. I don't understand IKEA hate!
Now, the actual IKEA shopping experience? With that location out by Stonebriar Mall? Yeah, that's the worst.

I'm actually going to IKEA today, after putting it off for as long as possible. I love looking through the catalogs, but the shopping is a Bataan Death March. ugh. I may talk myself out of it again.
The store here is actually in an exurb of Dallas. There's a huge mall, surrounded by--I don't know-- 3 or 4 rings of Bed Bath & Beyond-type stores, then another 2 or 3 rings of restaurants, a few car dealerships and a minor league baseball stadium. I canNOT figure out how to navigate through all of that just to find the IKEA parking lot. The store layout only adds to my sense of confusion and panic.
Still, it's good-looking stuff that actually fits in a real home. (I may be bitter because I live in a small old house, but I don't think real homes have great rooms, do they?)
Good luck on your visit!
