It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a time warp.

This has been flying over my house for the last few days. Now the sound is strange but there was a time when it would've been common around here -- and when a maiden flight was, in all likelihood, piloted by a maiden.

I do consider myself lucky! I went to Love Field to see the B-24, plus a B-25 and B-17 close-up. One word: awesome. And I saw (and heard) all three fly over my house at different times over the course of 3-4 days. Again: awesome.

I only wish I had gotten to speak to some of the WASP who were there and other veterans. Seeing everything in person truly does give you a whole new sense of their courage.
