Freon = lifeforce

You'd reach that conclusion too if your air conditioner went out Sunday. Then again Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and, oh yeah, Thursday evening. But I'm not complaining!

Oh, I can't even imagine.

I'm sending you cool thoughts from the north. Although it's close to 90 here today too.

Sorry, and I hope the freon will be flowing uninterrupted soon.

Thanks. Your cool thoughts must have worked because the situation is much improved. Who knew compressors were the key to happiness?

You know those people who ask you things like, "Yeah? Well, how did the pioneers live without a/c?" I hate those people. Our a/c went down at the top of June. I was dying. Someone said, "Well, what would you have done if you were a pioneer?" And I said, "I would have happily put a six-shooter in my mouth with the barrel pointing straight up." And they said, "You're going to hell for saying things like that" And I said, "I'm already there because my damn a/c broke!" Seriously. I'm sorry I won the lottery and was born in a time and country where I can crank the air down to 68. But I did. And I do. I realize it makes me a bad person because I am hogging energy. But at least I am not a sweaty, bad person."

We take our blessings where we find them.
