Bigger is better
It's a bad sign when a news executive starts talking about the
quality of his channel's viewers
instead of the quantity. It's NBC's strategy now and it was CNN's strategy back in January 2002 when
everyone thought Fox News' ratings coup was just a fluke
. CNN hasn't been back on top since.
Advertisers tend to care
about stuff like that.
